Cracked Eggs I
New Mexico
This is a sandstone formation called the Cracked Eggs, or the Egg Factory in the Bisti Wilderness. I camped here overnight to photograph the formation in the golden early morning light. Hiking out here at dusk I almost stepped on a rattlesnake in the dim light. Luckily, it was as startled as I was and slithered off in a hurry. Photo © copyright by Scott Fricke.
