The Wave I

The Wave is a unique sandstone formation, the sandstone worn smooth by water and wind, forming smooth flowing curved features. This image was made pre-dawn on a summer day that would eventually hit 109 degrees. Capturing the formation in shade resulted in richer colors than what is normally seen in mid-day sun.
